Our new life at home with Allie...

Allie arrived home from the hospital at 2 days of age. She was doing great....probably better than Mom and Dad! It's a bit of a surprise that she made it home safely since I fastened her in the car sear completely wrong! Oh well, so it goes being a new mom...

It didn't take us long to figure out that we didn't have the slightest clue what to do with a tiny baby! Within 30 minutes of arriving home, Allie had her first pacifier. Again, as new parents, the baby cries....You feed her and change her, and she still cries. So, what do you do? "Uhhhh....I have no idea. Let's try the pacifier!" That was our solution, and fortunately, it worked out just fine.

At 3 days old, Allie had her first bath at home, and then went for a walk in the neighborhood. She was an absolute angel! So much so that by day 4, we went out to dinner at one of our neighborhood restaurants. Again...a perfect angel! What did we do to deserve such a wonderful baby??? By 6 days, Allie was at her first party...a Memorial Day cookout where she danced with her Daddy and secured her position as the apple of his eye.

Allie had a lot of visitors during that first week: Auntie, Uncle Britt, Aunt Tracey, Anna, Maddie, and Aunt Robin were among the first. Friends also came to visit: Vanessa, Angela, and Shelley were anxious to see Allie. And of course, Granny White was there to see her too!

It wasn't long before Pops made it over from Albertville, and Grandma and PawPaw drove up from Jacksonville. Uncle Mike, Aunt Lisa, and cousins Robert and Sidney also arrived soon. Allie captured all of their hearts...

Allie's ride home from the hospital...and yes, I know that she is buckled in incorrectly!
