Last night, I was a very proud Mommy! Allie experienced her first stage performance at the International Preschool's Winter Pageant, and she did excellent (read between the lines here: she got on stage in front of an audience of ~250 adults and SHE DIDN'T CRY! So yes, she did excellent!)! Before we left for the pageant, Allie was kind enough to let me snap a couple of photos of her at home with her "Kissmas" tree.
Unfortunately, because of poor lighting in the auditorium, the photos that I took during Allie's performance didn't turn out so well, but luckily we have the video. Now, before any of you get too excited about watching this video, let me set the stage for you:
This is a group of about a dozen 18 month-2 year olds (Allie is the youngest in her class, the oldest is 6 months older than she). They have only one teacher (Ms. Ashley), so there are a few other adults helping Ms. Ashley get these kids on stage to "perform". The performance is supposed to be a "sing-along" to Frosty the Snowman, where the kids each get a snowman that they've made in class and play with it during the song. In case you have trouble finding Allie (and you will likely have trouble, as they put her in the back and kept putting kids in front of her until someone picks her up in the middle of the song), she is wearing a light blue dress with a white turtle neck, white leggings, and silver shoes (see pics above!). You'll see her being brought in by a gentleman holding her and another child. Now again, don't get too excited.....she won't win a Tony award for this performance, but she did make me a proud Mommy!
