Allie's first bike ride...and her butterfly booty!

We've been waiting for this time for quite a while....waiting for the day when Allie was big enough to go for a bike ride with her Daddy. Last weekend while on a neighborhood walk I realized that it was finally time, so off we went to the bike shop to buy Allie her first (and very cute, might I add) helmet and a bike trailer (which is big enough for Baby Will to ride in too!). This week we suited Allie up in her helmet and strapped her in the trailer for a quick afternoon ride with Daddy. Although Allie is not a big fan of her helmet, she loves the ride...and she likes to go fast!









And on a side note, I couldn't resist these backside shots of Allie and her "butterfly booty"!

11 months...and SWIMMING!

I can't believe it....I just can't believe it! Our baby girl is enjoying the final month of her first year.....my how time flies! We've already started working on birthday party plans, and it's a good thing we've decided to have a pool party for Allie's first birthday, because we discovered this weekend that she LOVES the pool! Allie was such a tiny little thing last summer that she never really got to get in to the pool other than just putting her feet in, but we have already discovered this summer that Allie is going to love swimming with her Daddy! I can't wait to see what the summer holds for us.....

Oh, and no, she's not walking yet (we get this question multiple times every day), but it shouldn't be long. She's getting pretty good at letting go and standing on her own, but she has yet to take that first independent step. Stay tuned!

Allie's first Easter

Allie had a wonderful first Easter. After snapping a few photos in our front yard with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and PawPaw, we all loaded up in the car to go to brunch at Druid Hills Golf Club. Allie received a fantastic surprise when she got to meet the Easter Bunny! Oh how she loved this bunny. She smiled, laughed, and reached for him to hold her (a bit unusual for her right now, as she tends to have a little "stranger anxiety"). She was fascinated by his nose and mouth. She definitely made a new friend....

After brunch at Druid Hills, we all drove up to Granny's house for Easter Bunny cake, Easter baskets, and Allie's very own Easter egg hunt! It took her a while to get used to the grass, but she got the hang of it. Allie loved the plastic eggs stuffed with candy, and she even tried to eat some of the real eggs...shell and all! It was a great first Easter....

And here he is at 20 weeks and 2 days, estimated to weigh a whole 12 ounces....isn't he cute!!!

Spring picture preview!

This past Saturday Allie had her spring pictures taken at her photographer's house in Alpharetta. Although I was worried that she would be fussy and cry when I sat her down, she surprised me wonderfully and did a great job during the photos. We haven't seen all the photos yet, but the photographer posted a few of Allie's photos on his blog, so we were able to get a sneak preview of what's to come. I can't wait to see them all!
