We had a great “Cars” themed day of celebration for Will. He
woke up with a smile and put on his fancy new Lightening McQueen birthday shirt
in preparation for a birthday celebration at school with his friends. I took ice cream and graham crackers
ffor the school celebration….I hear everyone really enjoyed it, but Will had no
interest in wearing his birthday crown for the day L
After school, we came home for naps, and then Will’s friends
joined us for a pool birthday party….Daddy got to come home for the party
too! We had a wonderful day with
beautiful weather, lots of swimming, yummy cake and ice cream, and opening tons
of “surprises”, as Will calls them.
He really had a fantastic day…..

I heard a great quote once that sums up the way I always
feel on the kids’ birthdays: “The days go slow and the years go fast”. That’s never been more true that
it is right now…
